Humpty Doo Barramundi Farm Recloser Settings Calculation & Coordination Study

NT Electrical group engaged Aptus Power to conduct recloser protection setting calculation and coordination study for Humpty Doo Barramundi Farm in the Norther Territory. Four distribution transformer substations are fed through this recloser (NOJA model OSM27-12-800-310) via a 22kV distribution feeder.

Aptus Power conducted fault studies to determine three phase and earth fault levels at the farthest point on the feeder.

Based on the result of the fault study, Aptus Power specified appropriate overcurrent, earth fault and sensitive earth fault protection settings to enable the recloser provide adequate protection for the feeder and achieve protection coordination with the circuit breaker upstream of the recloser.

As an extension to the project, Aptus Power was also engaged the configure software for the NOJA recloser.
